What Are We Concerned About?

  • Reasons for lack of membership participation at meetings have not been adequately addressed.

  • Professional concerns (Pro D, Bargaining, etc.) need to be at the top of our priorities with social issues as secondary in importance.

  • Our membership is being used to amplify a particular voice and to fund certain social issues.

  • Our public image is characterized by confrontation with our partners in education (parents and school board), rather than by thoughtful discussion of the issues.

  • There are at least two sides to every issue.  Are we hearing them?
