Reasons
for lack of membership participation at meetings have not been
adequately addressed.
Professional
concerns (Pro D, Bargaining, etc.) need to be at the top of our
priorities with social issues as secondary in importance.
Our
membership is being used to amplify a particular voice and to fund
certain social issues.
Our
public image is characterized by confrontation with our partners in
education (parents and school board), rather than by thoughtful
discussion of the issues.
There
are at least two sides to every issue. Are we hearing them?
